Italy, where to go for a kite holiday?

Italy, where to go for a kite holiday? Sicily is a remarkable island offering a multitude of attractions while also being one of the best kitesurfing spots in Europe. Lo Stagnone is the perfect place for both advanced riders and those taking their first steps. Learning goes smoothly and safely on our spot, Sicily and kite definitely go hand in hand.

Main benefits:

  • Knee-deep water – you can stand on your feet anywhere
  • Perfectly flat surface – no waves or currents
  • 300 windy days a year
  • A wide choice of accommodation to suit all budgets – from hotels to campervans
  • Cheap flights

Classes are always taught in the shallow and flat water of the Lo Stagnone lagoon. The spot is located ideally between the two tourist towns of Trapani and Marsala. We are located a few kilometres from Trapani airport and an hour’s drive from Palermo airport.

The lagoon in which you kite is separated from the sea by an island. This means there are no waves and the water itself is much warmer than the sea. We experience both local and thermal winds giving us a total of up to 300 windy days a year!

Another advantage of the spot is affordable accommodation starting from 20€ / person / night. The apartments are equipped with kitchens and air conditioning, you will also find bars and restaurants near the spot.

Faster than to Egypt!

Ryanair has been offering direct flights from Warsaw and Katowice to Trapani Airport for a long time, which is just a 5-minute drive from the kitesurfing spot! Check which accommodation in the Lo Stagnone area to choose!
